Your commment:: Truly interesting to read; however, it is also shocking to read about the enthusiastic reactions on war among the contributers to this guest book. My father fought in WWII in the Waffen-SS, and my grandfather survived Verdun as a sergeant. Finally, my great-grandfather fought in Italy. I have served in the German airforce but fortunately didn't have to shoot people. Know this, there are no heroes in war, only victims and physically and/or psychologically wounded people.
